'An 1800's Street of History is part of the 2018 History Festival On the Opening Weekend of 28th & 29th April, a number of buildings in Nairne will be open as part of the "Open Doors" event: Nairne Institute/Museum, Nairne CFS, Old Police Station & Cell/Nairne Market, Steven's Garage & Clezey's Drapery/Sheehan's Hardware & Dove Cottage, District Hotel Stables/District Hotel Barn, Oddfellows Hall/Nairne Soldiers Memorial Hall and the Nairne Railway Station.

The Nairne Lions will have memorabilia displayed at the Railway Station, there will be an RSL display at the SM Hall and a display of old power tools will be in the window at Sheehan's Hardware Store.

The Nairne Museum will be open from 10.30am - 3.30pm every weekend from 28th April until 27th May.

Guided Walking Tours will be available on the Opening Weekend on the hour between 11am and 3.00pm and on the May weekends at 11am & 12 noon.

If preferred there are self guided tours and the Nairne Mural & Historic Walk brochures are available from the Nairne Museum, at Nairne Main Street businesses, the Hahndorf Visitors Centre and the Mt Barker Library. Entry to the Nairne Museum and Guided Walking Tours are "By Donation".
