Lunch your way through winter with the 'Land of the Long Lunch' menus at wineries (Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard and Pike & Joyce both in Lenswood, Longview in Macclesfield, Maximilian's and Sidewood in Verdun), and iconic restaurants (Locavore and The Stirling Hotel's Grill restaurant in Stirling, The Haus in Hahndorf and Mount Lofty House in Crafers).

Adelaide Food and Wine Journalist Kylie Fleming captured the vibe of winter dining in the Adelaide Hills when she wrote:

'The Adelaide Hills really comes into its own as a dining destination when the autumn leaves have fallen, the temperature drops a few degrees and the open fires start crackling. The region is appealing year round but shines during the cooler months when restaurant chefs take advantage of the seasonal food bounty.'  Adelaide Matters, May 2015
