Marble Hill hosts seven official Open Days per year, which highlight the history and heritage of the Vice-Regal property and showcase the produce from the vineyards, orchards and market gardens in the surrounding Adelaide Hills.

Measuring time by the Sun, Moon and Stars has fascinated mankind since antiquity, and time now rules our lives.

SA’s early settlers used sunrise and sunset to plan their day. The official time was measured at noon. Chronometers and barometers made by clockmakers provided navigation and weather forecasts. Our guest speakers will talk about the Science of Time:

* Kevin Jones from the SA Maritime Museum - Chronometers and Longitude.

* Margaret Folkard and John Ward - Sundials and mechanical timepieces.

* View a display from the collection of Sundials Australia.

* Plus A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY to view the progress of the meticulous restoration of the Marble Hill Ruin Afterwards join us for refreshments at the Edge Wall and enjoy the Grand & Glorious View.
